What can you use the app for?

DuckDuckGo is a simple search engine that helps users find what they need quickly. The application works much like any other search engine, with a data entry field and results pages. The top of the search results page gives the user alternative options to narrow down their search with various meanings or suggestions. Below, each search result gives the user the title of the page and a short description with the keyword bolded. If the website has a logo or icon, that appears just beside it to the left. DuckDuckGo tries to filter out as much spam as possible, removing websites that exist purely for advertising purposes. Users can also add a DuckDuckGo search tool bar to their Firefox browser. DuckDuckGo provides a list of tech goodies that includes a calculator, !bang syntax, conversion tool, date and fact generators, geography tools, resources, IDs, property calculator, random result generator and a time sensitive generator that tells the user interesting things like the time in London or the tides in San Francisco.
